# Hatch End Swim School
Hatch End Swim School is a family-run swimming instruction provider operating from Hatch End Swimming Pool in Pinner and South Oxhey Leisure Centre. With over forty years of experience teaching swimming in the local community, the school offers swimming lessons and coaching for children aged three and upwards, plus adults of all abilities.
The school distinguishes itself through a genuine passion for swimming, with experienced teachers who grew up in swimming families and actively participate in the sport themselves. Rather than focusing solely on achievement stages, they work towards a variety of Swim England awards, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to water safety and technique development.
For children, they offer five distinct class levels on Friday afternoons: Seal Cubs for young learners, progressing through Beginners, First Improvers, Deep Water Improvers, and Advanced Improvers. Each class is tailored to individual needs with mixed-ability groups, prioritising fun alongside skill development.
Adult provision includes beginner and improver lessons for non-swimmers and developing swimmers, plus advanced classes for confident swimmers. They also run dedicated training sessions on Friday and Sunday evenings for adults seeking fitness improvement and those training for sports like triathlons, utilising interval training to build cardiovascular fitness.
The school's core philosophy—"Swim for fitness, swim for life"—reflects their commitment to making swimming enjoyable, safe, and accessible whilst fostering lifelong participation in the sport.
